Gather with fellow parents and make some art! This art event will feature a Photo Embroidery craft which is suitable for all skill levels. Combine a photo of your choice with basic embroidery stitches to create a unique fiber artwork that is a guaranteed conversation starter when displayed. Running stitch, back stitch and french knot will all be covered in this workshop and a finishing kit will be provided should you not finish by class end. Upon sign up you will be given directions on how to send the image that you want to work with in your embroidery. Come join us for a memorable and artistic journey in photo embroidery!

Let‘s gather at Dirigible Brewing for a parents-only board game night! Any and all parents are welcome to join.

I‘ll bring Wingspan, Poetry for Neanderthals, Codenames, Cards Agains Humanity, and Wavelength; feel free to bring a favorite of yours and we‘ll decide what to play based on the crew!

Dirigible has great beers and flights for purchase.

Join us for a workout class at Maynard at 7pm. This is an express session from 7-7:30pm. To sign up, visit their website: https://www.cyclebar.com/location/maynard. It‘s free for first-time riders and $27 for returning participants. Please register directly on their website. Afterwards, we‘ll head to Azucar Tapas at 7:45pm for food and drinks. ABFN will cover the appetizers. If you plan to join us only for food, please email me to let me know.

Help support the Acton Boxborough United Way by donating new or gently used shoes. Accepting donations in all sizes. Donations can be dropped off during the ABFN Clothing Swap, Sunday June 2 8am-10am at the Parker Damon Building Upper Parking Lot.

We are back for our with our semi-annual clothing swap! Donations Accepted:
- Clean, unstained newborn baby
- Children’s clothing up to size 10/Med (NO socks or underwear)
- Gently-used maternity and women‘s clothes (NO undergarments)

Donation drop offs will be accepted at the following locations through Friday, May 31st. Please sort and label bags/boxes by sizes.

This is a FREE and PUBLIC event. Any one can donate and any one can come "shop" the event. This is a great opportunity to come together as a community and help our neighbors. Any items remaining at the end of the event will be donated to local charities.

We will have a private tour at Great Brook Farm from 10-11am. After the tour, we are planning on having ice cream for those interested.

Is there a new little one in your family? Join me and other parents of little ones for snacks and (hopefully) sunshine in the Acton Arboretum. Get to know other parents in the area, learn about ABFN and our events, or just drop by to see the cute babies!

Please join the Acton-Boxborough Family Network on June 15 from 9-11am at the Goward Playground at the Acton Memorial Library for our Annual Kindergarten Social! This is free and open to all incoming kindergarteners!

Come and meet some of the families and future classmates of your 2037 Kindergartener. There will be a school bus to explore, local organizations to meet, as well as color-coded name tags/shirts so that you can easily connect with students and families destined for the same school.

Have you ever wanted to try flying trapeze?! Come join for a class with other first-time fliers and learn how to climb to the platform (also known as the pedestal board), how to hang by your knees on the trapeze bar, and even how to do a backflip dismount into the net! Students will be fitted with a safety belt and fly with the safety lines attached to their safety belt and the net below them at all times. Students fly one at a time so they have the full attention of their safety lines coach while they are in the air.
