The frogs are out (for real this time)! Come enjoy Acton‘s beautiful conservation land and learn about local wildlife with other ABFN families. Acton‘s Community Conservation Specialist Ian Bergemann will lead us to the vernal pools of Anderson Conservation Land, where he will teach us about our native amphibians and the life cycles of springtime! We will take a short walk (.3 miles) on an easy trail to get to the pools, so bring your walking shoes. Overflow parking available at the Church of Good Shepherd.

You’ve probably heard the word neurodiversity floating around in conversation, on social media, or even at school meetings—but what does it actually mean? And how does it show up in your everyday life as a parent?

In this down-to-earth, judgment-free session, we’ll break down what neurodiversity really is, why it matters, and how it can show up in both kids and adults. Then, we’ll shift into real-life strategies for navigating the beautiful (and sometimes chaotic) reality of a neurodivergent household. Whether you‘re parenting a child with ADHD, are neurodivergent yourself, or just trying to make sense of the different ways your family members function (or friends!)—this session will offer insights, tools, and encouragement to help create more understanding, ease, and connection at home.

You can expect practical tips, relatable stories, and space to ask questions. You’ll walk away with a clearer understanding of why it‘s essential to understand neurodiversity for everyday life.
