Have you ever wondered if your student should be able to say that sound yet? Or, at what age a child should be able to follow complex directions in the classroom? This workshop will review preschool speech & language development, focusing on when language skills and speech sounds should be mastered. Current research and evidence-based receptive and expressive language strategies will be reviewed to help teachers gain a better understanding of what strategies they can implement in their classroom. Teachers will leave this workshop with confidence on when to refer a student for a speech and language assessment and what strategies can be implemented to provide a language-rich environment. SN/DL
